Dr. Shamsodini is working as senior consultant and head of department of urology in AlWakra hospital, part of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Qatar. He is a faculty member in Weill Cornell medical college-Qatar as assistant professor.  His main interest is in the field of Andrology reconstructive surgery and urethral reconstruction. He worked as head of Andrology unit in Hamad General Hospital before joining his current position. He also works in the field of minimally invasive surgeries for stones and endo-urology surgeries.

He was graduated from Medical university of Debrecen, Hungary and he finished Arab board of urology residency program (CABU) and fellow of European board of Urology (FEBU) and   fellowship in Andrology and infertility in Italy, Torin and in HMC, Qatar.

Dr. Shamsodini was invited to several live surgery workshops both in the region and internationally for sharing his expert opinion and surgical skills in the field of penile prosthesis surgery, Peyronie’s disease surgery and penile skin reconstruction. He was invited as faculty member for several scientific meetings in Europe and in the Middle East. Dr. Ahmad is active in the field of research and contributed with several papers that were published in peer reviewed journals.

Board member of the ISSM, MESSM, member of international societies of Urology: MESSM, Endo-urology Society, reviewer for various urological journals, associate member of European genito-urethral surgery society .
